(courant.com) — Residents in Windsor and South Windsor are at the center of Connecticut's growing backlash to Flock Safety license plate cameras, as both town councils have now moved to shut the system down. A Windsor resident's records request exposed how local plate data was searched hundreds of thousands of times nationwide, including by Texas authorities, sparking months of public debate. Those concerns helped drive new state standards and local decisions to remove the cameras.
• Week 5: Top 3 Connecticut high school football plays of the week (wfsb.com) — Windsor football fans can celebrate another big win, as the reigning Class MM champion Warriors edged Platt 29-24 behind standout plays from receiver and defensive back Jayden Compton. His contested touchdown catch and interception return helped secure Windsor's second straight victory. The game was featured among Connecticut's top three high school football plays of the week.
