WINDSOR, CT — Boston Pickle Club has opened its first Connecticut location, bringing 12 indoor courts, a bar and two floors of player amenities to Day Hill Road.
The company held its grand opening weekend Saturday and Sunday at the new 37,000-square-foot club at 20 Day Hill Road.
The Windsor facility includes championship-sized courts with cushioned playing surfaces and ceilings topping 20 feet. Other features include a pro shop, full-service bar, outdoor patio, locker rooms with showers and a players' lounge.
A second-floor mezzanine overlooking the courts includes a conference room, performance-training area and additional gathering spaces.

The club plans to offer leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, open-play sessions and youth programs. The space can also host private parties and corporate events.
"Windsor just felt like the right next step for Boston Pickle Club," Chief Growth Officer Mike Wilmot said when the company announced the location in August.
As Patch previously reported, the Windsor club is the company's third location. Its other facilities are in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood and Norwell, Massachusetts.
The Windsor Chamber of Commerce and Avon/Canton Chamber of Commerce will hold an official ribbon cutting and business-after-hours event Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The event is free for members of the Windsor, Avon/Canton and Tobacco Valley chambers. Registration is available through the Windsor Chamber's website.
