WINDSOR, CT — A stretch of Marshall Phelps Road is scheduled to get new pavement during the week of Oct. 26, according to the town.
The work covers the section between Day Hill Road and Bloomfield Avenue. In its Oct. 5 town manager's report, Windsor scheduled overnight milling for the week of Oct. 12, ahead of the paving.
The town's construction notice says traffic is expected to remain open in both directions during the rehabilitation project, which was scheduled to begin Aug. 24.

Milling removes the top layer of old asphalt to prepare the road for a new surface. The town describes the process as typically removing about 2 to 3 inches of pavement before repaving.
The October report does not specify daily paving hours or a completion date. Updates on local roadwork are available on the town's construction page.
