WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Becker College, Worcester MA

• Becker College's Commencement ceremony was held on May 5, 2018. Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito delivered the keynote address. Ashley Thorpe, of Windsor, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Inspired to excel, 788 members of Bryant University's Class of 2018 were awarded a Bryant degree at the University's 155th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. Graduates will join a powerful, network of 45,000 alumni who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their organizations and communities around the world. Kathleen Grennan of Windsor graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Accounting. Andrew Tasillo of Windsor graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Accounting.

Husson University, Bangor ME

• Windsor resident Nolan L. Whitaker has been named to Husson University's Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Whitaker is a sophomore who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Communications Technology with a concentration in audio engineering program. Students who make the Dean's List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

• Muhlenberg College held its 170th baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies on May 17 and 18. A total of 519 degrees were awarded to 511 students, and 267 students in the Class of 2018 graduated with honors and distinctions. Gary Pershad of Windsor graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

Tufts University, Medford MA

• Travis Percy of Windsor graduated from Tufts University on May 20, 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (BA) during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world.
