WINDSOR, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Windsor, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Windsor Public School District.
The first day of school for most students in Windsor is Aug. 28.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

- Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 22-24
- Holiday Recess: Dec. 25-Jan. 1
- Presidents' Day Recess: Feb. 19-20
- Spring Recess: April 8-12
- Tentative School Closing/Early Dismissal: June 6
