The Windsor Public Library welcomes Debby Reelitz back for a 90-minute program that will teach patrons how people wrote during the colonial period. Debby will share pictures of famous colonists, their desks and writing. Samples will range from Phillis Wheatley to George Washington to John Hancock. Next, all the participants will learn how to set up their own writing desk, paper, nibs and ink. Lettering samples and instructions will be provided so participants can write in cursive with dip nib and ink. The end goal is to create a signature for yourself that is inspired by signatures from colonial times.
