Join us as we host our first poetry slam! We invite all who wish to share any poetry or writings to come and present them in front of a panel of judges. Bring your story and let the audience feel your words. All writing levels are welcome! This is a chance to showcase your writings among friends, and meet others who love conveying their stories through slam poetry! Each poet will have a 3-minute time limit to recite their work.

Join our friends from Interval House as they present an interactive workshop that empowers teens to learn about healthy relationships and recognize the warning signs of unhealthy or abusive behaviors. Through a variety of activities, participants will explore topics such as boundaries, consent, self-respect, communications, and the different forms of dating violence.
Participants will design and create their own awareness buttons. These will give them a chance to share positive messages, promote healthy relationships, and help spread awareness among their peers. This hands-on activity encourages creativity, leadership, and advocacy while reinforcing key workshop concepts. 
This workshop, designed to be youth-centered and discussion-based, creates a safe and collaborative space. Encouraging young people to share ideas, ask questions, and build. By meeting teens where they are, we honor their voices while empowering them to become advocates for healthy relationships in their schools and communities. Registration is required.

Originally written as a single movement for another piece, “Notturno” is a work of nuanced beauty. This gem of a composition by the sublime lyricist Franz Schubert opens our 2026-27 season. “Dances and Nocturnes” was commissioned by New World in 1989 from Hartt composer Steven Gryc. Each of the seven fanciful movements can be considered “night music”, the dances being “dreams of dances”. The addition of a viola adds richness and depth to the overall texture, creating a “contemporary classic” piano quartet. Brahms’ op.8 trio was first written as a youthful composer of 21 and revised thirty-five years later, shortly before his death. This imposing, expansive work remains a cornerstone of the chamber music repertoire. Its classical structure combined with romantic expressionism certainly fits the weltgeist of Beethoven. “ Autumn Reflections” is being given in memory of William E Fuller.
