WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Paige Tambling of Windsor was recently named to the Emmanuel College Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Lasell College held its 164th commencement on May 12, granting 398 Baccalaureate degrees and 125 Master's degrees, before an audience packed with family, friends, and members of the Lasell community on Taylor Field. Graduates included Stephen Blood, Emily Parker and Brianna Tata, all of Windsor.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Justin Shanahan of Windsor, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in biomedical engineering, and mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2018 semester. A total of 1,474 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2018 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
