Campus Notes - Windsor College Students

WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• Rachel Currie, of Windsor, an English major, has made the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the President's List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Paige Tambling of Windsor was recently named to Emmanuel College's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Elena Peters, a sophomore major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the fall 2017 semester. Elena is a 2016 graduate of Windsor High School and is the daughter of Jesse and Lynda Peters from Windsor. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Husson University, Bangor ME

• Windsor resident Nolan L. Whitaker has been named to Husson University's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Whitaker is a sophomore who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Communications Technology with a concentration in audio engineering program. Students who make the Dean's List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Jordan Irizarry, of Windsor, has been named to the fall 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

University of St. Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Nine students from Windsor were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. They are Ericka Biagioni, Ciera Carter, Keino Elder, April Flores, Zamari Gonzalez, Lisa Looby, Kristi Mullings, Stephanie Ross and Danielle Russell.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Daniel Kastner has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of Vermont. Kastner, from Windsor, is majoring in Public Communication in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
