Campus Notes - Windsor College Students

WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recognized the academic achievements of African, Latino, Asian and Native American students on May 5 during its sixth annual Inclusive Excellence Awards ceremony. Awards were given out and more than 200 students were recognized for achieving GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
  Among the students recognized from Windsor were: Taylor Brown, who was given the Academic Achievement Award. Brown majors in Biology; Melissa Carvalho, who was given the Academic Achievement Award. Carvalho majors in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies; Jennelle Joseph, who was given the Academic Achievement Award. Joseph majors in Psychology; Ayanna McDougald, who was given the Academic Achievement Award and Volunteer Service Award. McDougald majors in Health Sciences; and Donna Nguyen, who was given the Academic Achievement Award and Volunteer Service Award. Nguyen majors in Computer Science and Business Information Systems.

Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison NJ

• Alexis Capuano of Windsor, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).
