WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Andrew Pinto, of Windsor, has been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0. Pinto is majoring in Management at AIC.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Paul Desiderio of Windsor has earned a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Desiderio was among approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 255th Commencement exercises on May 4-5, 2018, at the McCamish Pavilion.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Manchester Community College is pleased to announce its roster of students achieving President’s List recognition for the spring 2018 semester. The President’s List recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester, and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC, are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List. Camoy Pryce of Windsor made the full time list, while Derek Ashworth, Waynette Bailey, Matthew Bonesteel, Allison Dillon, Jared Giese, Estiven Martinez, Rose McLean, Alina Mohammed, Thu-Huong Nguyen, Rebecca Porri, LaShawnda Price, Joshua Sasportas, Justin St. John and Kiyana Vazquez, all of Windsor, earned part time honors.
• Windsor residents Benjamin Alas, Hakeem Badiru, Dawn Dumas, Anthony Giampolo, Elliot Hyde, Madeline Jacobsen, Mohamed Kane, Sarah Laiuppa, Lauren LaPorto, Musaab Musid, Danielle Newbold, Treshawn Redick, Autumn Skinner, Anna Toal, Kimberly Wiggins and Reed Zacharias were named to the MCC dean's list for the spring 2018 semester.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• The following students from Windsor were named to the Springfield College dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2018 term: Kayla Sanborn, Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Mikaela Lombard-Poirot, Health Science; Jacqueline Wheelock, Health Promo Schools/Communication; Timothy Coble, Human Services (UG); Ebony Holloway, Human Services (UG); Magdiel Marrerorivera, Human Services (UG); Adam Constantilos, Movement & Sport Studies; and Amanda Bibisi, Youth Development. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
