American International College, Springfield MA

  • American International College in Springfield, MA has named 440 students to the spring 2017 Dean's List. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0. Windsor students named to the Dean's List are Annicka McDonald, Shaina Blamahsah and Torrie Epps.

  • Anthony Mahon of Windsor has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Mahon is majoring in Creative Media.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 16, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,180 undergraduates and 58 graduate students received their diplomas. Windsor graduates were Hannah Cheney, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Earth Science; Rashaun Francis, Bachelor of Science in Sport and Leisure Management; Ohemeng Kyeremateng, Bachelor of Science in Sport and Leisure Management; Lindsey Milliken, Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences; Quinby Pepin, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting; and Jessica Sanborn, Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management.

Emerson College, Boston MA

  • Benjamin Mueller, a resident of Windsor, has been named to the Emerson College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Mueller is majoring in Media Arts Production. The requirement to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Keene State College, Keene NH

  • 1,245 students have been named to the spring 2017 dean's list at Keene State College, including Rachel Maragnano and Benjamin Osowiecki of Windsor.

St. Lawrence University, Canton NY

  • James J. Kieley of Windsor was one of more than 600 students who were awarded bachelor degrees from St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies held on May 21 in Canton, New York.
    Kieley received the degree of bachelor of arts and majored in Francophone studies. Kieley attended Watkinson School.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

  • Rachel Poirier of Windsor was among The University of Scranton students inducted into the national honor society in psychology (Psi Chi). Qualifications for induction into the honor society include a major or minor in psychology, rank in the top 35 percent in general scholarship, and superior scholarship in psychology. The University's chapter of the honor society was established in 1969. Poirier is a junior majoring in psychology at the Jesuit university.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Justin Shanahan of Windsor, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2017 semester. A total of 1,319 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2017 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
