WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Windsor, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

  • Benjamin Sargalski of Windsor, majoring in marine science, was among 1,920 students at Coastal Carolina University who made the spring 2017 Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.

Colgate University, Hamilton NY

  • Hannah Thrall of Windsor is now a graduate of Colgate University in the Class of 2017. Thrall majored in Educational Studies. A graduate of Suffield Academy, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude at Colgate's 196th Commencement, May 21.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

  • Elena Peters, a History major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List with High Distinction for the spring 2017 semester. Elena is a 2016 graduate of Windsor High School and is the daughter of Jesse and Lynda Peters from Windsor. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Lasell College, Newton MA

  • Lasell College recently named Tamla Morales of Windsor to the Lasell College Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Morales, whose major is Accounting, is a member of the class of 2017. To achieve the academic honor of being named to the Dean's List, a student must be full-time carrying 12 or more graded credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT
