On Campus - Windsor College Students

WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Biology major Taylor Brown, an Eastern Connecticut State University student from Windsor, has spent the summer researching river erosion and biodiversity in Kentucky. She is one of two Eastern students participating in a 10-week Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in locales across the country - a program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Gordon Gellert of Windsor graduated from Hofstra University in May 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Union College, Schenectady NY

• Alexander Scott, of Windsor, was named to the 2018 Dean's List at Union College. Scott is a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in Biology. Comprised annually, the Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements.
