Clown Hysteria Prompts Message From Windsor Police

WINDSOR, CT — The recent outbreak of clown-related hysteria has prompted the Windsor Police Department to post an online message to its citizens.

The notice reads:

"The "clown phenomenon" is everywhere. It is causing concern across the country and in our state. Teens are being arrested as a result of these incidents and social media posting.

As always, THINK before you post.

Parents, help us preserve the community calm by proactively speaking to your children about this current social media trend, the consequences of posting topics that cause public concern, and check their social media postings for appropriateness.
