WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Joel Kearney is one of 578 seniors to earn their degree from Grove City College on May 19, 2018. Kearney earned a Bachelor of Science degree and is from Windsor.
• Elena Peters, a sophomore major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the spring 2018 semester. Elena is a 2016 graduate of Windsor High School and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Peters (Lynda) from Windsor. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Over 80 Tunxis students received awards and scholarships at the 35th Annual “Student Achievement Recognition Ceremony,” held this spring at Tunxis Community College. Close to 80 scholarships and $86,765 in scholarship funds was awarded. A recipient from Windsor was Hania Kabatilo (Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship and Rosalie & William Logvin Memorial Scholarship).

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following students from Windsor have been named to the Dean's List for spring 2018: Karina Bach, Brittney Brown, Ciera-Jade Henry, Gabrielle Legall, Marissa Pan, James Pinckney, Sabrina Rivera, Schaller Clarke, Ryan Harrington, Jordan Koduah, Colin Smith, Dayna Dinnall, Joevanni Thompson, Ariana Grajales, Peter-gay Nevins-McKenzie, Sierra Taylor, Tyler Trifari, David Cipriano, Jeffrey Clark, Stefan Keilich, Ryan Levin, Mark Markiewicz, Thienly Nguyen, Christopher Smith , Sarah Socolosky, Elijah Stewart, Shaneisia Bloomfield and Jessica St. Amand.

Youngstown State University, Youngstown OH

• Samuel Witham, an Anthropology major from Windsor, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Dean's List recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester.
