WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 15. Among the 1,200 students who graduated that day were 70 graduate students.
    Quinby Pepin of Windsor was awarded a Master of Science degree in Accounting.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

  • Ithaca College congratulates all May 2018 graduates, including Ashley Lombardo of Windsor, who graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Athletic Training, and Kelsey Jepsen of Windsor, who graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

Monroe College, Bronx NY

  • Monroe College, a national leader in educating urban and international students, held its 85th annual Commencement on June 13, 2018 at Radio City Music Hall in midtown Manhattan. The College conferred 450 Master's degrees; 1,095 Bachelor's degrees; and 1,036 Associate degrees this year, as well as awarded 50 professional certificates. Timothy Epps, of Windsor, graduated with an Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration. Christian Robles, of Windsor, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

  • Rachel C. Poirier of Windsor was among more than 1,650 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean's List. Poirier is a senior psychology major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
