Critical Blood Shortage Prompts Red Cross Drive In Windsor
Community members are invited to help support the region's blood supply at a Windsor drive Friday.
WINDSOR, CT — The American Red Cross is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves and help save lives at an upcoming community blood drive in Windsor.
The drive will take place Friday, March 13, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Hyatt House Hartford North Windsor, located at 200 Corporate Drive.
Blood donations are used every day by hospitals to treat patients facing trauma, surgeries, cancer treatments and chronic illnesses. Red Cross officials say consistent donations are critical to maintaining the blood supply and ensuring hospitals have what they need when emergencies happen.
