Delivery Service Driver Charged for Drive-Through Antics

A delivery service driver is accused of rude antics at McDonald's.

VERNON, CT — A driver for a food delivery service has been charged with two crimes for allegedly cutting off cars in the drive-through lanes and being rude to staff members at a McDonald's, an arrest report indicates.

Lorie Thompson, 28, of Windsor, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach or peace for the March 19 incidents, according to an arrest report. She was taken into custody on a warrant Monday by Windsor police, according to a report.

On March 19, police received a complaint that Thompson, a driver for the delivery service Uber Eats, cut in the drive-through at the 89 Talcottville Road McDonald's, according to a report.

She almost crashed leaving the drive-through area, police said.

Thompson is also accused of returning to the McDonald's and swearing at a cashier.

She is due in court n May 15, according to a report.
