Double Stabbing Suspect Located And Arrested In Windsor: Clinton Police

BREAKING: Clinton police say both victims suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries during the assault. Suspect found in Windsor.

CLINTON, CT — A West Haven man is accused of stabbing two people in Clinton Sunday causing serious injuries and he was arrested in Windsor, police said in a news release Monday. The Madison and Windsor Police Departments assisted the Clinton Police Department with the investigation.

Police said at 7:55 p.m., the Clinton Police Department responded to a River Road location on a complaint of a disturbance in which two individuals had been stabbed, police said. Officers from both the Clinton and Madison Police Departments responded to the scene.

Upon arrival the two stabbing victims were located, police said. Members of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department EMS responded to the scene and treated the victims and then transported them to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were serious in nature but not considered life-threatening, police said.

It was learned the suspect, Anthony Magaraci, 56, of West Haven had fled the scene along with a female companion in a white VW Passat (CT REG. 7AMKM5), police said. Investigators from Clinton and Madison processed the crime scene and broadcast information to other law enforcement agencies in an attempt to locate the suspects, police said.

The vehicle and the suspects were located in Windsor at a location just off of Interstate 91, police said. Officers of the Windsor Police Department were able to take the pair into custody, without incident, police said. They were then transported to Clinton Police Headquarters for arrest processing. The female passenger in Magaraci’s vehicle was not charged with any crime and was released, police said.

The victims in this case are both white males and are 45 years of age, police said, while adding that their names are being withheld.

Magaraci is currently being held on a $500,000 bond, and will be arraigned at Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on Tuesday. He is charged with first and second-degree assault.
