Dr. Santosha Oliver Named Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services for Windsor Public Schools
Dr. Oliver will assume her new position as Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services in July 2016

The Windsor Board of Education has selected Dr. Santosha Oliver to be its new Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services for Windsor Public Schools. Dr. Craig A. Cooke, Windsor’s Superintendent of Schools, recommended Oliver’s appointment at a special meeting that was held on April 26th at the LP Wilson Community Center.
Dr. Oliver currently serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) for Manchester Public Schools. Her responsibilities include curriculum development, accelerated mathematics programming, professional development implementation, and district improvement planning among others.
“We are very pleased that Dr. Oliver is joining Windsor Public Schools as the new Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services,” said Dr. Craig Cooke, Windsor Superintendent of Schools. “With her extensive background in developing quality curriculum and assessments, I believe she will help us build on our solid foundation as a district and maximize the growth opportunities that lie ahead. The Board was very impressed with her knowledge of our system, instructional data, and her commitment to moving Windsor forward.”

Dr. Oliver will assume her new position as Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, in July 2016. She will replace Mary Anne Butler who now serves as Chief Academic Officer with the State of Connecticut.

Dr. Oliver holds a B.S. in Biology (Chemistry minor) from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. She has also earned a Ph.D. in Bio-medical Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She completed her 6th Year program for her (092) certification at Sacred Heart University, and this July she will complete the Executive Leadership program for her (093) certification at the University of Connecticut.
