American International College, Springfield MA
- Brianna Westberry of Windsor is among eighteen American International College (AIC) students who have been inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society of Psychology. The induction ceremony was held in the AIC Campus Center on Nov. 30, 2023. Psi Chi was founded and 1929 with a mission to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology. To be inducted into Psi Chi is an esteemed honor. Students must be in the top 35 percent of their class, have a major or minor in psychology, and have excelled in their psychology courses.

- Johanna Clark, a junior English major from Windsor, was among approximately 680 Bob Jones University students named to the fall 2023 President's List. The President's List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Fifteen Eastern Connecticut State University students made the long drive to Mahwah, NJ, this October to present research on topics ranging from history to coding at the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Northeastern Conference. Among the students was junior communication major Kevana Simpson of Windsor, who presented her work, "Black Women and the Media: A Review of Historical Narratives and Present-Day Consequences." Her research explored how Black women are historically portrayed in the media and how various stereotypes and representations have led to discriminatory treatment towards them in contemporary times. Simpson noted that this treatment does not only stem from other races as judgment comes from within the Black community as well, further enhancing colorism and prejudices.

- Nina Gregory of Windsor has been named to Husson University's Honors for the fall 2023 semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Gregory is studying toward a degree in nursing. Full-time students who earn President's List, Dean's List and Honors List recognition must be enrolled as an undergraduate, carry a full-time load of 12 credit hours over the course of 21 weeks, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted, and achieve a designated semester grade-point average.
Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais IL
- Ainsley Sasportas of Windsor was named to the dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed fall 2023 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.
Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH
- Seven students from Windsor were named to the fall 2023 President's List. They are Nikkia Jones, Shernell Charlemagne, Thomas Mawdsley, Tia Johnson, Sashae Deer, Tyana Edwards and Meghan Crockwell. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
Western Connecticut State University, Danbury CT
- Windsor residents Ryan Stillman, a public health major, and Alanah Townsend, a management major, made the WCSU Dean's List for the fall 2023 semester.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- Windsor resident Carli Simons is a Peer Advisor for the 2023-2024 academic year at Western New England University. Peer Advisors are a group of highly selected and comprehensively trained students dedicated to helping first-year and transfer students throughout their transition to Western New England. Peer Advisors undergo more than 150 hours of training in order to better support first-year and transfer students. Each first-year student is assigned a Peer Advisor who serves as a source of information, point of first contact, and conduit to university programs and support services. Peer Advisors work during the summer and academic year to assist new students in the formation of their personal success plans and act as an advocate for student success. The personal success plans provide new students with a framework for establishing specific, measurable, reasonable, realistic, and timely goals for the first year at the University. Simons is working toward a BSE in mechanical engineering.
