Local Athletes Succeed at LL, MM Track Championships

High school track and field teams from several Patch towns in northern and central Connecticut had successful outings Wednesday in the Class LL and MM championships.

In the Class MM meet at Middletown High School, Windsor won the boys team title with 105 points, easily outdistancing runnerup Fitch's 68.

The MM girls competition was much closer, as Avon compiled 61 points to edge Nonnewaug by one, with Berlin and Jonathan Law another point behind.

Willow Brook Park in New Britain hosted the LL meet, which was won by Danbury (boys) and Ridgefield (girls).

Here are individual scoring results for athletes from schools in Patch towns in north-central Connecticut. An asterisk (*) indicates the athlete qualified for the June 6 State Open at Willow Brook Park.
