A Look at Windsor's Winter Sports Team Title History
Windsor High School teams have won 12 state titles in winters past.
WINDSOR, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball and wrestling) and next Saturday (boys basketball, ice hockey, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a state championship.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the 12 CIAC winter team titles won by Windsor High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).
- girls indoor track (5) - Class L: 2017, 2016, 2012, 2011; State Open: 2016
- boys basketball (4) - Class L: 2014; Class LL: 2009, 1999, 1998
- boys indoor track (2) - Class L: 2015, 2012
- girls basketball (1) - Class LL: 2004
