Poquonock School Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Families and staff raised over $1,200 for The Cancer Couch Foundation
Last month, Poquonock School worked together to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Families supported the cause through the "Poquonock Warrior" shirt sale and staff took part in dress down days for the whole month.
The funds raised will support The Cancer Couch Foundation. This organization is a non profit organization that funds Metastatic Breast Cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The Cancer Counch Foundation was started by a fellow Windsor Warrior battling this very disease. Poquonock School raised over $1,200 dollars to support this much needed cause.
