As Practice Opens, a Look at Windsor Fall State Championships
The first official day of practice for fall sports is Aug. 25; Patch looks back at state titles won by Windsor teams in autumns past.
WINDSOR, CT — Thursday marks the official opening of practice for fall high school sports, and the first day gives every team hope and optimism that perhaps a state championship is in the cards.
A total of three Windsor teams have captured state titles in fall sports in the past:
- football (1): 2014 (L-small)
- girls soccer (1): 1991 (L)
- field hockey (1): 1978 (L)
