Roadway Improvements Begin In Windsor

Milling began this week, with paving expected to follow weather permitting.

WINDSOR, CT — Roadway improvement work is underway in Windsor as part of the town’s Pavement Management Plan.

The first phase of the project began this week, according to the town. Milling started Monday, June 15, and paving was expected to begin Wednesday, June 17, weather permitting.

The first phase includes work on Hollow Brook Road, Coach Circle, Oxcart Drive, River Bend Lane and West Street.

Town officials are asking drivers to use caution in active work zones, where motorists may encounter raised structures, changing road conditions and construction crews.

The work is part of Windsor’s 2026 paving program. Additional rounds of paving are planned later this year, including several roads listed for August and September.

The August round includes Plymouth Street, Maude Circle, Scarborough Road, Woodybrook Road, Ely Circle, Tobey Avenue from Plymouth Street to Windsor Avenue, Country Lane, Abbey Lane, Beth Circle and Columbia Road.

The September round includes Phelps Meadow, Village Lane, Taverner Road, Peddler Drive, Cooper Circle, Miller Way, Trapper Circle, Farmers Circle, Bricklayer Road, Laine Mary Drive, Deanne Lynn Circle, Derek Lane and Marshal Phelps Road.

The town said residents and drivers should remain alert and slow down while traveling through active road work areas.
