Sage Park Middle School Helps Family Purchase Wheelchair-Accessible Van

Student at John F. Kennedy School with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Receives Funds Thanks to Windsor Schools

This year, Sage Park Middle School's National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) dedicated their charitable work to a local cause. The organization assisted Thomas Hastings' family in purchasing a wheelchair-accessible van for Thomas, who is a student at John F. Kennedy School with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Until recently, the Hastings did not have a vehicle that was capable of accommodating a motorized wheelchair that allows Thomas to independently travel. NJHS was pleased to present a $650.00 check to the Hastings family to help the Hastings family purchase a van for Thomas.
