“Our community faces significant challenges. That’s why this race for State Senate is so important. On August 12th, I’m voting for Shawn Wooden because the State Senate needs change and Shawn is the one who has the energy, ideas, integrity and passion that we need,” said former State Senator and Mayor Thirman Milner.

“I know I stand on the shoulders of those who came before me and broke barriers that made it possible for a young man from north Hartford to become city council President and now run for the State Senate. Thirman Milner is an icon in our community, a personal mentor and a friend. His endorsement and support transcends politics. It speaks to who we are as a community and the change we need to make real in the State Senate for Windsor, Bloomfield and Hartford families,” said Shawn Wooden.
