VERNON, CT — A Windsor man is due in court next week to answer a drug possession charge after a traffic stop in Vernon, police said.
It was 2:30 in the morning on Aug. 10 when a Vernon officer stopped a black Ifiniti Fx35 for a traffic violation on the Interstate-84 westbound Exit 64 entrance ramp, according to an arrest report.
The driver, 45-year-old Malik Belfast, of West Wolcott Avenue, Windsor, was found with 7.43 grams of powder cocaine in the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

He was arrested and charged with the lane violation and narcotics possession, according to an arrest report.
He posted a $10,000 bond and was given a court date of Aug. 22, according to an arrest report.
