Success! Windsor Lions Collection for Windsor Food & Fuel Bank

Drive-Thru Collection for Food Surpassed Organizers' Goal!!!!

Wow! The Windsor Lions Club’s second annual Drive-Thru Non-Contact Food Drive for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank was a great success! On Saturday, August 7 – in just four hours – a steady flow of Windsor-area residents donated approximately 3,000 pounds of non-perishable food (the Lions Club’s goal was 2,500 pounds) with over $650 in cash and checks. The collection drive was held in the parking lot of L.P. Wilson Community Center at 599 Matianuck Ave. in Windsor, where the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank is located.

The Windsor Food & Fuel Bank thanks the tireless Windsor Lion Club and Windsor Leos for hosting this event, and all the generous people who came and donated food to help their neighbors.
