WINDSOR WATER RATS EXPRESS (WWRX) a local swim club for Recreation and USA Swimming ages 5 to 18, is seeking an experienced part-time swim coach to assist in the continued growth and development of our swimmers and club. Responsibilities: 1) Coach at practices and meets; 2) Obtain/Maintain USA Swimming coaching credentials; 3) Participate in coach, parent, board meetings and team events; 4) Collaborate with other coaches; 5) Develop practice plans, swim meet entries and track performance; 6) Assist in communicating with the board and parents; 7) Attend training events to maintain coaching qualifications and continually improve coaching skills; and 8) Must be prepared to coach all ages and levels of swimmers.
Preferred Qualifications & Compensation: 1) Competitive Swimming Experience; 2) Previous coaching experience; 3) Able to register as a coach member in good standing with USA Swimming a must. Familiarity with HyTek software is a plus. Available compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Commitment: Must be willing to work evenings/ weekends during Winter (Sept – Feb) and Summer (Apr - Aug) seasons. Practices are Mon -Fri primarily 5-6PM. Saturday morning practices for one hour. Winter season has 5-6 dual meets on Sat or Sun with championship meets in Feb. Summer includes meets on Monday’s and/or Wednesday’s with end of season championships. Opportunity to assist with USA swimmers possible.
