Two Clover Street Students To Represent School at Connecticut Invention Convention
Connecticut Invention Convention Takes Place Saturday, April 30th at Gampel Pavilion on the Storrs campus
The Clover Street School Invention Convention took place on Thursday, March 31, 2016 and the winners are Rafid Choudhury (Grade 4) and Jordan Roche (Grade 5).
This was Rafid's first time participating. Rafid invented the "Dashed Dish: The All In One Glove." His invention is a pair of all-in-one dish washing gloves designed to make hand washing of dishes more efficient and comfortable.
This will be Jordan's second trip to the Connecticut Invention Convention. Jordan invented the "The Hurricane Shower." His invention is a method of filtering the "grey water" from showering so that it can be re-used for several more showers, thus conserving precious water resources.
These students will now represent the school at the Connecticut Invention Convention taking place Saturday, April 30th, at Gampel Pavilion on the Storrs campus. The public is invited to attend to view the hundreds of inventions. Hours are 12 noon - 1:30 and there is no admission charge.
