Valedictorian, Salutatorian Named At Windsor High School
Araya Miller and Taylor Falotico are the top two scholars in the Windsor High School Class of 2022.

WINDSOR, CT — The top two scholars in the Class of 2022 at Windsor High School have been announced. Araya Miller is valedictorian and Taylor Falotico is salutatorian.
Miller is a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, Student Council and Spanish Honor Society. She is also a Student Advisory Leader as well as a member of the Class of 2022 and Action Club. She has received numerous awards including the Harvard Book Award, CAPSS Certificate of Excellence, CABE Student Leadership Award, DAR Good Citizens Award, All School Award in Social Studies and Spanish, Jae Lim Award in Mathematics, Dr. Earl S. Russell Scholar Award, and National African American Recognition Program.
Miller has been recognized as a Central Connecticut Conference All Academic Team and High Honor Roll Scholar. Her leadership roles include Vice President for the Class of 2022, President of Student Council and captain of the girls varsity tennis team. She was also a member of the junior varsity cross country team.

Her extracurricular activities include State Student Advisory Council on Education (SSACE), involvement in the National Conference for Community and Justice Programs (Anytown Program and Rights Identity Social Justice Equity (RISE) Program) and a cashier at Buffalo Wild Wings. She has also volunteered as a teacher assistant for AP World History classes, cross country manager and assisted with WHS Speed Pass Program.
Miller will attend Yale University in the fall and plans to major in political science.

Falotico is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Advisory Leader, Spanish Honor Society and BOE Student Representative (Sept. 2021-Jan. 2022). She has received numerous awards including the Yale Book Award, High Honor Roll Scholar, Paul J. Sorbo Scholarship, All School Award in Healthcare, CTE, Math, Chemistry, World Language, Physical Education and the Multi Variable Calculus Excellence Award. She won Princess Royal in the Shad Derby and a number of recognitions for field hockey, including most improved player, offensive player of the year, All Conference, head of fundraising activities and head of the team-bonding committees.
Falotico’s leadership roles include captain of the varsity softball and field hockey teams. She has also been a member of the boys basketball team and CT Polar Crush travel softball.
Her extracurricular activities include hostess/waitress at Dom’s Eatery in Windsor and travel softball with CT Polar Crush. She has also volunteered with Windsor Little League Coach’s Clinic, Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD), TSA Robotics Tournament, Red Cross blood drive and assisted with Little League softball evaluations.
Falotico will attend Bates College in the fall and plans to double major in biology and neuroscience.
