Varsity Schedules Set to Begin in Windsor

WINDSOR, CT — Schools are all now back in session throughout Connecticut, and athletic teams have been practicing for nearly two weeks. Looking forward, opening day for Windsor High School and Academy of Aerospace and Engineering varsity squads is literally just around the corner.

Here are the scheduled regular season openers for Warrior and Jet teams:

WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL

• boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Hartford Public, 3:45 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Hartford Public, 3:45 p.m.
• girls swimming - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Norwich Free Academy, 4 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 at Hartford Public, 5 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Maloney, 7 p.m.
• cross country - Saturday, Sept. 9 at Windham Invitational, time TBA
• field hockey - Tuesday, Sept. 12 vs. E.O. Smith, 6 p.m.

ACADEMY OF AEROSPACE AND ENGINEERING

• boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Vinal Tech, 3:45 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at Prince Tech, 3:45 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 at Goodwin Tech, 5 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 at Plainfield, 6:30 p.m.
• cross country - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Innovation (with Public Safety Academy), 3:45 p.m.
