WINDSOR, CT — Soccer fans in Windsor looking for a place to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup have several local options, from a public library watch party to breweries, bars, restaurants and taverns.

Given the massive popularity of the World Cup, sports bars, restaurants and soccer-friendly gathering spots across the country are expected to draw large and energetic crowds throughout the tournament.

    • Buffalo Wild Wings, 703 Poquonock Ave. — The Windsor location lists a full bar, big screen TVs and full sports coverage, making it another local option for World Cup viewing.
    • Windsor Public Library, 323 Broad St. — The library is hosting World Cup watch parties where fans can watch soccer on the big screen, eat snacks and take part in activities. The events are open to anyone under 18, and families are encouraged to attend.
    • Dudleytown Brewing Co., 1001 Day Hill Road — A brewery and taproom with craft beer, cocktails, wine, a beer garden and food. Call ahead to confirm specific match availability.

The 2026 World Cup runs 39 days, from Thursday, June 11, through Sunday, July 19. For the first time, the tournament features 48 teams, making it the largest World Cup ever.

Fans from around the globe have come to North America for matches being played across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Eleven U.S. cities are hosting matches: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The tournament also included opening ceremonies in the host nations, with events in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The ceremonies were created by Marco Balich, the Italian producer behind the opening ceremony for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
