WHS' New Principal A Familiar Face
School officials remove 'interim' tag from Windsor High School Principal Breon Parker Sr.'s title.

WINDSOR, CT — Windsor High School has a new principal, according to an announcement on the school system's website Friday.
Breon Parker Sr. was named WHS principal after a long career in education administration.
According to the school system, Parker began his career as a special education teacher in 2005.

He was a special education teacher for six years prior to becoming an assistant principal in 2011 within the Springfield, Mass., school system.
In 2017, Parker joined the Windsor school community as an assistant principal and shortly thereafter, he became a resident of Windsor.

In spring 2021, Parker was named interim Windsor High School principal, with school officials now removing the "interim" label from his title.
Parker graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he earned a bachelor's in educational studies with a minor in African American studies.
He got his master's in educational administration with a minor in educational policy research and administration and is currently finishing his last semester of his doctoral program at the University of Hartford.
“My goal is to grow in this role and provide stability and the best Instructional Leadership that will position our young people to be well equipped citizens. There is a rich culture in Windsor that is deeply rooted in the families and students and I would consider it an honor to continue to fortify these efforts. My passion and purpose in education is defined now more than ever. I look forward to continuing to lead the Windsor High School community from 2022 and beyond,” Parker said on the school system's website.
