Windsor Citizen's Academy Registration Opens

The academy gives local residents a chance to learn about how the town's government functions.

WINDSOR, CT - Registration for the Town of Windsor Citizen’s Academy is now open for the fall session. Here’s your chance to learn more about the operation of Town of Windsor departments in an informal, fun way.

The seven-week interactive Citizen’s Academy begins on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Town Hall Council Chambers from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will then continue to meet on Thursday evenings through November 1st at various town facilities including the Police Station, Public Works garage, Fire House,and others. Participants will go behind the scenes and see what happens when you call 911, see the latest firefighting equipment, ancient land records in the Town Clerk’s Office vault, see what it is like to be in a snow plow truck, tour the town and meet a variety of town staff.

This dynamic program will uncover facts about Windsor you never knew! Each week the academy meets at a different town facility. The program is free, and anyone 18 years or older living or working in Windsor is welcome to sign-up.
