Windsor Comes From Behind in Class L Baseball Opener
The Warriors tallied three runs in the fifth inning to emerge victorious over Fermi in first-round action.
WINDSOR, CT - A two-run triple by Jarret Tambling pushed Windsor into the lead for the first time all game Tuesday, and the Warriors held on to defeat Fermi, 4-2 in Class L baseball first-round action.
Windsor trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, but with two outs and a runner in scoring position, Jeremy Nunes cracked a run-scoring single to tie the game, then Kyle Louis singled before Tambling drilled his eventual game-winning hit.
Alex Rosario was the winning pitcher, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Fermi loaded the bases on a walk and two errors in the first inning, but Rosario came back to strike out the next three hitters.
The Falcons scored single runs in the third and fourth, while Windsor scored a lone run in its half of the fourth.

Sam Witham and Novian Rivera each had two hits for the Warriors.
Windsor, the No. 16 seed, advances to face top-seeded Bristol Eastern on the road Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
