Windsor Girls Prevail as Champions at Class L Indoor Track Meet
The CIAC indoor track and field championships were conducted Thursday through Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Dominating the relay races, Windsor High School captured the girls team title at the CIAC Class L indoor track and field championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.
Marcus Manson won two individual events to lead the boys to a seventh-place team finish.
Victorious girls relay teams were the 4 x 200 (Cori Richardson, Camille McHenry, Athena Camacho, Tia Marie Brown), 4 x 400 (McHenry, Madison Alexis, Jalah Cooper, Rebecca Samuel) and 1600 sprint medley (Richardson, Briane Alabre, Grace Strauch, Samuel). Manson won the 300 and 600 meter races.

- 2nd - Tia Marie Brown, 55 meters, 300 meters; Rebecca Samuel, 600 meters
- 3rd - Camille McHenry, 300 meters
- 5th - Cori Richardson, 55 meters
Boys
- 5th - 4 x 400 relay
- 6th - 1600 sprint medley
The Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, located in Windsor, had a girl and boy each place in the Class S meet: Celia Chacko (5th, 1000 meters) and Noah Swanson (6th, 600 meters).
The championships were held Thursday through Saturday: Class L on Thursday, Class M on Friday and Classes LL and S on Saturday. Click the class headers for complete results.
The State Open will also take place at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 17.
