Windsor High School Manufacturing Program Receives Grant from Gene Haas Foundation

Grant awarded to Windsor High School Manufacturing program for scholarships and training

Windsor Public Schools has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation for scholarships for seniors that plan to continue their education in mechanical engineering or manufacturing. An additional $2,000 has been awarded to the Windsor High School Manufacturing program towards tuition for Manufacturing training for Dustin Ricci, Career and Technical Education Teacher, that will take place this summer. This training will allow Ricci to become NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certified in Mill and Lathe and will provide the opportunity to offer this credentialing to students.

To date, more than 4000 charitable (501 C 3) organizations and schools have received funds totaling over 50 million dollars from the Gene Haas Foundation.
