Windsor High Senior Awarded First Place in Global Film Festival
Peacemaker Corps Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival supports peace and tolerance education among the youth of the world
Windsor High School senior, Khaleel Rahman, is being globally recognized for winning First Place in the Peacemaker Corps 2017 (14-18 age category) Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival. His film, Human Family, was reviewed and selected by a renowned, experienced and impressive Jury.
Rahman is invited to attend the Awards Presentation luncheon on November 9, 2017 in New York City at the United Nations where he will receive his award and tour the UN. Rahman will also attend the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Plural + Video Festival and film workshops the following day at the Paley Media Center in New York where he will be recognized as an award winner.
In 2014, Peacemaker Corps Association (PCA) launched the Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival for youth (18 and under) to give young people the tools and platform to have their voices heard and actively participate in making peace at home.
