Windsor High School Student Efforts Result in Award Winning Police Car

Windsor PD School Resource Officer (SRO) Cruiser Awarded Second Place for the Category of "Best Community Relations / Vintage" Vehicles

Windsor Public Schools is pleased to announce that the Windsor PD School Resource Officer (SRO) cruiser was awarded Second Place for the category of “Best Community Relations / Vintage” vehicles in the Law and Order Police Management 2015 Police Vehicle Design Contest.

The design for the SRO cruiser was drafted by and worked upon by Windsor High School students of Mr. John Reinwald’s Automotive Tech ED classes. The narrative composition describing the SRO cruiser and its inception was written by WHS Class of 2015 graduate Nicholas Guimond and was submitted for the contest. Photographs of the SRO cruiser used for the submission application were taken by WHS Class of 2016 students Sophie Sirota and Rebecca Farrell, both enrolled in the high school’s photography course.
