Windsor To Host America 250 Celebration
The July 2 event will feature karaoke, food trucks, a farmers market, vendors and a concert by the Savage Brothers.
WINDSOR, CT — Windsor will mark America’s 250th anniversary with an afternoon and evening celebration on the Town Green next month.
The First Town Downtown event is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, beginning at 2 p.m. on the Windsor Town Green. The celebration will include karaoke by Tomaca, food trucks, a farmers market, a vendor fair and other community activities.
A concert by the Savage Brothers is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The event is part of Windsor’s local observance of America 250, the nationwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Windsor is also highlighting its own history as Connecticut’s first town.
Residents are encouraged to bring family and friends and spend the day downtown. First Town Downtown said updated event information will be posted at FTDT.org.

The event is being sponsored with support from Windsor Federal Bank, Trinity Church Windsor and Carmon Community Funeral Homes, according to the event flyer.
