WINDSOR, CT — The COVID-19 pandemic has heavily impacted local economies all over the country, and Windsor has been no different. In order to address some of the challenges presented by the pandemic, including employers’ hiring difficulties and job losses for workers, the Town of Windsor and Windsor Chamber of Commerce are collaborating on a Community Job and Resource Fair. It will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 10 am to 2 pm, in the 330 Windsor Ave Community Center gymnasium.
The Job Fair is open to the public and any local businesses that wish to attend. There will be space for job seekers to connect with companies, as well as for employers to meet potential workforce and disseminate information about the types of positions for which they are hiring. In addition, career resources like the American Job Center, Capital Workforce Partners, and Viability will be present to help both employers and job seekers with navigating the hiring process and finding the right match for them.

“One of the most common concerns we’ve heard from businesses about the effects of COVID-19 has been the challenge to find workforce,” said Jim Burke, Director of Economic Development for the Town of Windsor. “With this Job Fair, we’re hoping to address that problem for some of our local companies, as well as help some of the people struggling with unemployment to find a position that’s right for them.”
