Windsor Man Among 3 Charged in East Windsor Car Burglaries

Three men were caught in the Prospect Hill Drive area around 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Three men were arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with a series of car burglaries in the area.

Around 4 a.m., East Windsor police received a report of three males with backpacks walking around the Prospect Hill Drive neighborhood who were believed to be breaking into vehicles. Officers responded and searched the area on foot, and located one suspect hiding in a bush next to one of the residences. Two other suspects ran from the neighborhood, but were located in the surrounding area.

An investigation revealed all three were involved in breaking into unlocked vehicles and had arrived in a stolen vehicle from Southwick, Mass. Prior to arriving in East Windsor, the men had led numerous other police agencies in vehicle pursuits, police said.

The stolen vehicle was located abandoned on Red Fox Trail, off Winkler Road, police said.

Nicholas Desorbo, 18, of Enfield, was charged with third-degree larceny, three counts of third-degree burglary from a motor vehicle, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and possession of burglary tools.

Cody Perry, 19, of Windsor and Thomas Sfreddo, 33, of East Windsor, were each charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary from a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

The three men are scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court on Wednesday.
