Windsor Man Arrested in North Haven Drug Bust: Police

Two 21-year-old men were arrested following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of a West Hartford man and a Windsor man on drug charges early Wednesday morning in North Haven, according to police.

An officer on routine patrol in the Washington Avenue area of North Haven conducted the traffic stop.

Police said the officer met with the vehicle’s two occupants, a West Hartford man and a Windsor man, both 21-years-old. After noticing a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the officer conducted a search.

The search revealed approximately 11 ounces of marijuana, more than 1 once of hash oil and more than $6,000 cash, according to police.

Brandon Bunker from West Hartford and Joseph Gigliuto of Windsor were arrested and charged with illegal possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, illegal possession of hash oil, illegal possession with intent to sell and illegal possession within 1,500 feet of a school.

Both were held on a $20,000 bond and were scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
