Windsor Obituary: Doris Austin, 84

Doris B. Austin, 84, of Windsor, beloved wife of Charles Austin Jr., passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Born in Hartford to the late Raymond and Mary (Case) Bradley, she has been a Windsor resident for over 59 years and was a member of Wintonbury Baptist Church in Bloomfield. Doris enjoyed reading but her true pleasure came from caring for her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her husband Charles, she is survived by her sons, Charles Austin III of Tariffville and Raymond Austin and his wife Rebecca of Lexington, SC; her brothers, Robert Bradley of Roanoke, VA, Howard Bradley of Hartford and William Bradley of Bristol; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chad, Kathryn, Emily, Matthew, Hannah, Julie, Daniel and Lydia. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Raymond Bradley Jr and her sister Beverly Anne Bradley.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, September 20 at the Wintonbury Baptist Church, 54 Maple Ave Bloomfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
