
Dorothy (Taylor) Hill, 93, of Seabury in Bloomfield, wife of the late Walter D. Hill, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
Born in Simsbury, daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine (Ray) Taylor she lived in Bloomfield most all her life and at Seabury the past 13 years. A graduate of the former John Fitch High School in Windsor, she was a member of the First Congregational Church in Bloomfield and the church’s reception volunteers, Sunday School teacher, and Deacon. She was also an associate member of the Keolahou Congregational Church in Maui, HI where she spent 4 months a year.
She was a charter member of the former Bloomfield Square Dance Club, Past President of the Ivy Garden Club and volunteered many years with the Bloomfield Seniors and Handicapped. She was also a member of the OES # 71 Simsbury.

She leaves a son Kenneth Hill ( Carol) of Tolland, MA and Ft. Myers, FL; Karen Puglise (Frank) of Granby and Sandra Hill of East Windsor; a brother Charles Taylor (Eleanor) of Weldon, IA, a sister Helen Castle of East Windsor; 4 grandchildren Jeffrey Puglise, Marney Reardon, Kyle Hill, and Elizabeth Loney; and 7 great grandchildren Andrew and Kaeleigh Reardon, Ashley, and Lindsey Puglise, Emma Loney, and Alex and Keagan Hill. She was predeceased by a sister Ruth F. Dolson.
Her family would like to offer a special thank you to all her friends and extended family who have been so supportive over the years.

Her family will receive friends Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9 am- 10 am followed by a funeral service at 10 am at the Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home 364 Salmon Brook Street, Granby. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery.
