
Elliott G. Drake, Jr., 81, of the Poquonock section of Windsor, husband of Genevieve (Linonis) Drake, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family, where he has lived all his life.
Born in Hartford, son of the late Elliott and Ann (Montrim) Drake, he was a lifelong resident and graduated from John Fitch High School in 1952. He served as a SGT in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. Elliott was a tool and dye maker by trade and had been employed Pratt & Whitney, Bourdon Forge, Co, and retired from the State of CT Department of Consumer Protection in the Division of Weights and Measures after 22 years.
He was assistant and then Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 56 in Poquonock and coached little league teams his sons participated in. An active outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish and was known to take neighborhood children fishing along with his own sons. He was a member of St. Casimir's Lithuanian Society.

Besides his wife Genevieve of 60 years; he leaves four sons Brian of Enfield, Bruce of Suffield, Alan of Windsor, and Thomas (Linda) of Coventry; a daughter JoAnn of Windsor; three grandchildren Ashley, Elizabeth, and Abigail Drake; and a sister Cynthia Michael of Windsor.
There are no calling hours. A private graveside service for family will be held with military honors at Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
